☕ What is Coffee, Cakes and Journals: Bear Café?
The 2027 Event - Bear Café is our inaugural full day journal and planner meet! We welcome planner enthusiasts, journal lovers, and stationery hoarders from all over the UK and beyond! Whether you use a dot-grid journal, a Hobonichi, a creative art journal, or a weekly planner, our events are designed to give you a cosy sanctuary to work on your pages, swap sticker inspirations, and make lifelong planner pals.
📚 What is the format of the event?
If you are new to planner meets, it's an event where attendees will be seated in round tables to do a couple of workshops and there will be dedicated shopping times. Attendees also get goodybags and a few surprises throughout the day!
🎟️ When do tickets go live for the Journal & Planner Meet, and how much are they?
Tickets are priced at £65 (payment plans available) and the first batch of tickets go live Friday 26th June 2026. Because venue capacity at Cornerstone is limited, we highly recommend setting a reminder!
We understand that not everyone is able to commit to plans this far ahead, so we are releasing tickets in batches. The second batch of tickets will go live in early October so you have some extra time to save up.
🎫 What does my ticket include?
Your £65 ticket grants you full access to the event at Cornerstone, shopping with a hand-picked selection of 10-12 independent stalls, access to our structured workshops, a seat at our round tables, an attendee goodie bag, and fully catered food and drink throughout the day (including lunch and cake!).
👋 I’m a total beginner or coming alone. How will you help me settle in?
Walking into a room of new faces can feel intimidating, but we have designed this day to be as warm and inclusive as possible. To support you, we will create an attendee Facebook group so you can introduce yourselves online beforehand. We will also have table plans and make sure that anyone coming alone or for the first time won't be the only newbie on their table! We encourage setting up table group chats ahead of the event so you can get to know your table mates virtually first.
We are also introducing a Buddy System! Our dedicated volunteer Buddies will be on hand to meet you outside, walk into the venue with you, and help you get to know people throughout the community. You won't be alone for a single moment!
🤝 Can I volunteer to be an Event Buddy?
Yes, we would love to have you! If you are a seasoned planner meet attendee and want to help make a newcomer’s day magical by being a friendly face to walk in with, please get in touch. Keep an eye on our social media and this website, as we will be opening up volunteer sign-ups soon.
🍰 Are food and drinks included in the Journal & Planner Meet ticket?
Yes! True to our name, a full lunch will be provided on the day as well as tea and coffee, and we are working hard to ensure we have a fantastic cake option for everyone to enjoy alongside their creative time.
We fully cater for specific dietary requirements (including vegan, gluten-free, and allergies). You do not need to do anything right now - closer to the event, we will send out an official Attendee Preferences Form to everyone who bought a ticket so you can securely log your dietary needs.
🎒 What should I bring to the Journal & Planner Meet?
Since this is a full-day event, you can bring a bit more than you would to a standard monthly meet! We recommend bringing a tote bag or backpack with your favorite journals or planners, a nice selection of supply pens/markers, and plenty of blank pages ready to be filled during our workshops. Don't worry about bringing too many stickers, though—our shopping area will be packed with gorgeous independent small businesses ready to help you top up your stash!
We will also add further details closer to the event, of any specific items you may wish to bring for our workshops during the day! Keep an eye out for more information on the attendee Facebook group or via emails.
🛍️ I'm a stationery creator! Can I apply to be a stallholder?
We would love to have you! We are actively looking for independent sticker shops, stationery designers, and creative makers to fill our marketplace. Head over to our Stallholder App page to view the requirements and submit your application form. Once the selection process is complete, you will be added to our official Stallholder Directory so attendees know exactly who they can shop with!
🖊️ I have an idea for a workshop! Can I host one during the day?
We are actively looking for passionate workshop hosts who want to share their creative skills—whether that's brush lettering, scrapbooking, functional planning, or art journaling! We have a separate Google Form for Workshop Hosts where you can pitch your ideas and outline your material needs. Click here to fill out an application!
🎁 How can my business get involved with sponsorship?
We are warmly inviting independent businesses and brands to partner with us for the 2027 event! We offer two main ways to sponsor:
Product Sponsorship: Providing cute stationery items, samples, or stickers to be included in our premium attendee goodie bags.
Workshop Sponsorship: Sponsoring a specific creative workshop session either through materials/supplies or monetarily.
If you'd like to support the community and get your brand in front of a room full of passionate stationery lovers, please reach out via our contact channels!
A full sponsorship deck is in the works and will be coming soon.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to Desy or Leo at any time via IG @coffeecakesandjournals or via email.
